Line A Overview
Line A is the only currently operational line of the Almaty Metro. Its first phase opened on December 1, 2011, between Raimbek Batyr Station and Alatau Station. The system was later expanded westward, with extensions opening in 2015 and 2022. Line A is 13.4 kilometers long and has 11 stations. Important interchange points include Raimbek Batyr Station, which connects passengers to Almaty-2 Railway Station and other public transportation services.
