Line 1 Overview
Construction of Line 1 began in December 1991, and the first phase between Jincheon and Jungang-ro opened on November 26, 1997. The second section, from Jungangno to Ansim, opened on May 2, 1998, extending the line into eastern Daegu. The line was subsequently extended from Jincheon to Daegok in 2002 and to Seolhwa-Myeonggok in 2016. The latest extension, from Ansim to Haeang, is scheduled to open in December 2024. Line 1 is 37 kilometers long and has 35 stations, connecting the western, central, and eastern parts of Daegu. Major interchange stations include Banwoldang Station, where you can change between Line 2 and Line 3.
