MRT Line 6 Overview

MRT Line 6 is the first metro line of the Dhaka Metro Rail. The line runs from Uttara North to Motijheel and is 21 km long. Construction began in 2016, and the line is scheduled to be inaugurated in phases starting on December 29, 2022, with further expansion starting in 2023. The extension to Kamalapur is expected to be inaugurated on January 1, 2027. There are plans to extend the line northward to Tongi.
