Line 5 Overview
Line 5 was inaugurated on June 5, 1968, and has evolved through several extensions and route integrations. The line initially ran between Callao and Carabanchel, before being extended eastward to Ciudad Lineal and then to Alameda de Osuna on November 24, 2006. The line is 23.2 kilometers long and has 32 stations. It also offers transfer facilities to several Metro and Cercanías lines at stations such as Callao, Diego de León, Alonso Martínez, Acacias, Casa de Campo and Aluche.
