Line 1 Overview
Construction on Line 1 began in 1999 and began operation on 24 April 2011. The line runs east-west from Vakil Abad in the southwest to Mashhad International Airport in the east, covering a length of 19.5 kilometers and consisting of 22 stations. It is Iran's first metro line that directly connects to an airport. It provides access to major destinations such as Imam Khomeini Station and also features interchange with Line 2 at Shariati Station.
