Main Line Overview

The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) main line was built as a fully automated light metro and forms the first phase of the REM network in Montreal. It is 6.6 km long and consists of 5 stations and serves as a high-frequency rapid transit corridor connecting the South Shore to Downtown Montreal. The line passes through the Samuel-de Champlain Bridge corridor and connects to the existing metro system at Central Station.
