Orange Line Overview
Orange Line runs from Richmond to Berryessa, covering 82 kilometers and serving 21 stations. This line was BART's first service, beginning operations on September 11, 1972, between MacArthur and Fremont, and extending to Richmond in 1973. It was later expanded to Warm Springs/South Fremont in 2017 and Berryessa/North San Jose in 2020 as part of the Silicon Valley BART expansion project. The line interchanges with the Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue lines at several stations across the East Bay network.
