Line 2 Overview
Line 2 is a heavy metro line designed to connect the northeast and southwest of the city. Its first phase was opened on 8 February 2023, consisting of a partial 5.6 km section and 3 stations, and the number of operational stations increased through subsequent extensions. The full line will be 15 km long with 13 stations, running from Mianrud in the northeast to Adel Abad in the southwest. It also connects to Line 1 at Zandiyeh station, making it an important interchange route in the Shiraz Metro system.
