Silom Line Overview
Silom Line opened on 5 December 1999 and was built in several phases. The original section ran from the National Stadium to Saphan Taksin. The line was later extended westward across the Chao Phraya River to Wongwian Yai in 2009, and then to Bang Wa in several phases until 2013. The line is 14.7 kilometres long and has 14 stations. It provides interchange with the Sukhumvit Line at Siam, the MRT Blue Line at Sala Daeng and Bang Wa, and the Gold Line and ferry service at Saphan Taksin.
