Line 1 Overview
The first phase of Barcelona Metro Line 1 opened on June 10, 1926, between Bordeta and Catalunya. The line was later extended in several stages, to Hospitalet de Bellvitge in the southwest and Fondo in the northeast. The line is 20.7 kilometers long and has 30 stations. It is one of the longest and busiest lines in the Barcelona Metro system. Line 1 connects central Barcelona with L'Hospitalet de Llobregat and Santa Coloma de Gramenet, while interchange stations at Catalunya, Espanya, Universitat, and Arc de Triomf provide connections to other metro and regional railway lines.
