Red Line Overview

The Red Line opened on March 9, 2008. The line initially ran between Siaogang and Siaotou stations, before being extended northward to Gangshan South on December 23, 2012, and later to Gangshan Station on June 30, 2024. The line is 31.1 kilometers long and has 25 stations. It provides direct access to the Orange Line at Formosa Boulevard Station, Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail and Taiwan Railways services at Zuoying Station, Taiwan Railways at Kaohsiung Main Station, and Kaohsiung International Airport.
