Line 3bis Overview
Line 3bis is Paris's shortest and least-used metro line, opened in 1971 as a branch off of Line 3. It runs only between Gambetta and Porte des Lilas in eastern Paris. The line is 1.3 km long and has only four stations. It operates as a simple shuttle service rather than a full urban corridor. This line was originally part of Line 3, but when Line 3 was extended towards Gallieni, this short branch separated and became an independent line. It connects with Line 3 at Gambetta and with tram T3b/metro Line 11 at Porte des Lilas.
