Gyeonggang Line Overview
The first phase of the Gyeonggang Line, between Pangyo and Yeoju, opened on September 24, 2016, as part of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway system. The second section, between Seowonju and Gangneung, opened on December 22, 2017. The line is 54 kilometers long and currently operates in two separate sections. It connects southeastern Gyeonggi-do with Gangwon-do and provides interchange with several railway lines, including the Bundang Line, Shimbundang Line, and Jungang Line.
