Line 1 Overview
Line 1 is Tianjin's oldest line. Construction of the original line began in phases between 1980 and 1984, but was closed in 2001 for major modernization and reconstruction work. The renovated line reopened on June 12, 2006, and was later extended to Shuangqiaohe between 2018 and 2024. The line is 42.2 kilometers long, with 32 stations. It connects to major lines including Line 2, Line 3, Line 5, and Line 6.
