Green Line (4) Overview
Green Line is operated by the Yokohama Municipal Transportation Bureau. Construction began in 2001 and opened on March 30, 2008. The line is 13 kilometers long and has 10 stations, connecting Nakayama Station and Hiyoshi Station in northern Yokohama. Unlike many conventional subway lines, the Green Line uses linear motor technology for smoother operation and shorter tunnels. The line includes Center-Minami and Center-Kita stations, which interchange with the Blue Line, and Hiyoshi Station provides access to the Tokyu Toyoko Line and other railway services.
