Blue Line Overview

Blue Line opened on June 30, 1979, as the first segment of the MARTA rail system and was extended westward later that year and eastward to Indian Creek in 1993. The line runs between Hamilton E. Holmes and Indian Creek and connects 15 stations in Atlanta and DeKalb County. It also provides transfer facilities to the Red and Gold lines at Five Points and shares tracks with the Green Line while passing through Downtown Atlanta.
