Red Line Overview

Red Line opened on December 4, 1981, as part of the original North-South Corridor of the MARTA rail system. The line was later extended north to Dunwoody in 1996 and to North Springs in 2000. The line runs between North Springs and the airport, connecting 19 stations in Atlanta. It also provides transfer facilities to the Gold, Blue, and Green lines at Five Points station and shares tracks with the Gold Line in central Atlanta, connecting downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
