Gold Line Overview

Gold Line began operation on December 4, 1981, as part of the original north-south corridor of the MARTA rail system. The line was expanded northward in several phases in the 1980s and reached Doraville on December 29, 1992. The line runs between Doraville and the airport and connects 18 stations across Atlanta and DeKalb County. It also provides transfers to the Red, Blue, and Green lines at the Five Points and Lindbergh Center stations, connecting Northeast Atlanta, Downtown, Midtown, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
