Line 5 has a total length of 12.8 kilometers and serves 19 stations. Line 5 runs from Bignami to San Siro Stadium, covering 19 stations. The line opened on 10 February 2013 between Bignami and Zara, and was later extended to Garibaldi FS in 2014 and finally to San Siro Stadium in 2015. Interchange stations connect with Line 2 (green) at Garibaldi FS and Line 3 (yellow) at Zara. Future plans also include a proposed northern extension from Bignami to Monza with 11 new stations.
