Line 2 is a commuter rail line that runs from San Giovanni-Barra to Pozzuoli Solfatara. The line was originally opened on 20 September 1925, covering a distance of 19 kilometres and serving 12 stations. Major stations include Pozzuoli Solfatara, Campi Flegrei, Montesanto, Piazza Amedeo, Mergellina, Piazza Cavour, and Napoli Piazza Garibaldi.
