The line is approximately 8.4 kilometers long and has five stations in its first phase. It primarily serves Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center area. Future plans could potentially extend the line to 50+ kilometers, connecting with lines 15 and 13.
