Line 2 Bloor–Danforth Overview
The first phase of Toronto Subway Line 2, the St. George-Old Mill section, opened for public service on February 26, 1966. In 1968, the line was extended eastward to Warden and westward to Islington, and later further extended to Kipling and Kennedy. It now runs between Kipling and Kennedy, spanning approximately 26.2 km with 31 stations, and serving major interchange points including Bloor-Yonge, Spadina and Kennedy, forming the system's main east–west corridor.
