U4 Line Overview
The first phase of the U4 line was opened on 29 November 2012 between Jungfernstieg and HafenCity University. A 1.3 kilometre extension from HafenCity University to Ellbrücken opened on 6 December 2018, providing a connection to Hamburg's S-Bahn network. The U4 line is 12 km long and has 12 stations. It shares tracks with the U2 line between Billstedt and Jungfernstieg.
