Kwun Tong Line Overview
The Kwun Tong line was inaugurated on 1 October 1979 and is considered the first phase of the Hong Kong Metro network. The line currently runs between Whampoa and Tiu Keng Leng, covering a length of approximately 18.4 kilometres and serving 17 stations. The line also has several interchange stations connecting it to other MTR lines, including Kowloon Tong (East Rail line), Ho Man Tin and Diamond Hill (Tuen Ma line), and Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok and Prince Edward (Tsuen Wan line).
