Line 18 Overview
Line 18 of the Shanghai Metro began construction on 12 May 2016. The first phase between Yuqiao and Hangtou opened on 26 December 2020 after trial operations earlier that year. The remaining section of the first phase opened on 30 December 2021, extending the line northwards to South Changjiang Road and completing the main route. The line currently runs between South Changjiang Road and Hangtou. It is approximately 44.8 kilometers long and has 31 stations. Major interchange stations on this line include South Changjiang Road, Guoquan Road, Jiangpu Road, Jiangpu Park, Changyi Road, Minsheng Road, Middle Yanggao Road, Longyang Road, Lianxi Road and Yuqiao.
