Line 3 Overview
Line 3 is one of the most important lines as it connects southwest Tehran with northeast. It runs from Ghaem Station to Azadegan Station, with 25 stations along a 37-kilometer route. The line was inaugurated on December 16, 2012, with the section between Shahid Beheshti and Theatre-e Shahr stations, followed by a 12-kilometer southern extension in April 2014 and the final northern section on September 22, 2015. Line 3 connects several important districts of Tehran and interchanges with Lines 1, 4, 6, and 7.
