Line 3 Overview
Chongqing Rail Transit Line 3 was inaugurated on September 29, 2011, between Yudong and Jiangbei Airport. It is 55.5 kilometers long and has 39 stations. It operates as a straddle-beam monorail line, forming a major corridor in the north-south area of Chongqing. Its northern extension to Jiangbei Airport opened on December 30, 2011, and its southern extension to Yudong opened on December 28, 2012, making it the world's longest monorail line. It also includes interchange connections at Lianglukou (Line 1), Niujiaotuo (Line 2), and Hongqihegou (Line 6) stations.
