Line 9 Overview
Line 9 of the Shanghai Metro was inaugurated on December 29, 2007, between Songjiang Xincheng and Guilin Road. The line was subsequently expanded in several phases, including extensions to Century Avenue in 2009, Middle Yanggao Road in 2010, and eastward to Caolu in 2017. It runs between Songjiang South Railway Station and Caolu. The line is 63.8 kilometers long and has a total of 35 stations. Important interchange stations include Century Avenue, Shujiahui, Yishan Road, and Lujiabang Road. A future eastward extension to Caolu Railway Station is also planned.
