Orange Line Overview

The first phase of the Orange Line opened on November 20, 1978, between National Airport and New Carrollton, and was later extended to Vienna in 1986. The line is 42 kilometers long and has 26 stations. Also known as the Vienna-New Carrollton Line, it connects the Arlington, Downtown Washington, and Prince George's County areas. The Orange Line also offers interchanges with the Blue, Silver, Red, Green, Yellow, and Red lines at several stations.
