Line 2 Overview
Line 2 began service on December 28, 2012. It was also China's first metro line to cross under the Yangtze River. The first phase connected Jinyintan and Optics Valley Square, while later extensions extended the route to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and the eastern Guanggu area. The line is 60 kilometers long and has 39 stations, making it one of the busiest routes in the Wuhan metro system. It connects key locations such as Hankou Railway Station, Jianghan Road, Hongshan Square, and the airport.
