Line 8 Overview
Wuhan Metro Line 8 began operations on December 26, 2017, with the opening of the first phase between Jintan Road and Liyuan. Later, the southern section to the Military Athletes Village opened in 2019, and then the middle section opened in 2021. The line is 38.19 kilometers long and has 26 stations. Line 8 became the third Wuhan Metro line to cross the Yangtze River, after Lines 2 and 4. Important interchange stations on this line include Hongtu Boulevard, Zhaojiatiao, Huangpu Road, Xujiapeng, Jiedaokou, Mafangshan, and Yezihu.
