U6 Line Overview
The first phase of the U6 line was opened on 30 January 1923, between Hallesches Tor and Stettiner Bahnhof (now the Naturkundemuseum). The line was later extended northwards to Alt-Tegel and southwards to Alt-Mariendorf, with the final extension opening on 28 February 1966. The U6 line is 19.9 kilometres long and has 29 stations, running north–south in Berlin from Alt-Tegel to Alt-Mariendorf.
