U8 Line Overview
The first phase of the U8 line opened on 17 July 1927 between Schönleinstrasse and Bodinstrasse. The line was subsequently extended north and south, connecting important districts such as Neukölln, Kreuzberg, Mitte, and Reinickendorf. The final extension from Paracelsus-Bad to Wittenau opened on 24 September 1994, while the Hermannstrasse extension was completed on 13 July 1996. The U8 line is 18 kilometers long and has 24 stations, running from Wittenau to Hermannstrasse.
