Line 6 Overview
Line 6, also known as the Circular Line, opened on May 7, 1981, and was completed in several stages. The line was gradually extended around central Madrid, and the loop was completed with the opening of the final section between Ciudad Universitaria and Laguna on May 10, 1995. An additional station, Arganzuela-Planetario, opened in 2007. The line is 23.5 kilometers long and has 28 stations. It also provides transfer facilities to almost all Madrid Metro lines and several Cercanías services, making it one of the network's most important interchange lines.
