Line 9 Overview
Line 9 was inaugurated on January 31, 1980, and was developed in several phases. The line was later extended southward to Arganda del Rey in 1999 and northward to Paco de Lucía in 2015. The line is 39.5 kilometers long and has 29 stations. It also provides interchange with several metro lines and Cercanías Madrid services, improving connectivity between northern Madrid, the city center, and the southeastern suburbs.
