Ramal Overview
Ramal Line opened on December 27, 1925, as a short branch of Line 2, connecting Opera to the former Estación del Norte. The line was built to provide easy access between central Madrid and the city's main northern railway station. Ramal is 1.1 kilometers long and has only two stations. It also provides interchange with Madrid Metro lines 2 and 5 at Opera Station, lines 6 and 10 at Príncipe Pío Station, and Cercanías Madrid commuter rail services at Príncipe Pío Station.
